Sonic Youth performs live on David Letterman “Sacred Trickster” to promote the release of The Eternal on Matador Records. This video is presented in HD.
Sonic Youth may be closer to Sonic Geriatrics, but they can still rock with the best of post punk punk bands. Formed in 1981, they may be a little more complex to be called a punk band, but it would be sufficient to say that they championed the noise rock movement. Their influence on the 90′s alt rock movement is unquestionable. For those interested in punk, noise, or alternative, Sonic Youth is one of those bands that you must explore.
