No, this is not Ice Ice Baby. This is “Under Pressure” from Hot Space performed by Queen with a rare duet with David Bowie in high definition. Released in 1981, the single climbed to number 1 on the British charts and went on to be ranked 31 in the greatest songs of the 80′s as compiled by Vh1.
At the time of the popularity of the plagiarized Vanilla Ice version on Ice Ice Baby, I was at the Drunken Bastard’s house having a few beers amongst friends and our women. The Drunken Bastard played “Under Pressure” and all the woman started singing “ice ice baby” before quickly realizing that this was not Vanilla Ice at all. The Drunken Bastard smiled and went about drinking his beer. Mission accomplished.
