Iggy Pop’s new video for the song “King of the Dogs” from the album Préliminaires in HD.
Iggy Pop may be the father of punk music. He certainly is a wonderfully talented singer and songwriter who can out perform most anyone alive or dead. He first came to fame with The Stooges and has performed with and collaborated with the likes of David Bowie (he wrote China Girl), Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and many others. It is a little known fact that he was tapped to replace Jim Morrison in the Doors after his death. Obviously that didn’t work out. It’s safe to say the Iggy Pop is a legend of rock music.
Iggy Pop said this about this about his new album: “One of the most moving songs of the record Préliminaires is called King Of The Dogs, where Fox tells you how cool it is to be a dog, how much it beats human life”.
