Gary Moore dead at 58. Moore was considered one of the greatest rock guitar players–Irish or otherwise, along with Rory Gallagher. Moore leaves a long legacy of innovation and mastery in his wake, from his work with Thin Lizzy to his solo work. He was well known for playing hard rock, blues, and jazz with his own unique inflection.
Bob Geldof described Moore as one of Ireland’s musical legends. He said: “One of the greatest blues players of all time. Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher and Gary Moore – the glorious trinity of the Irish blues men.”
RIP Gary Moore…
