The official HD Music Video for The Beatles’ “Free As a Bird”. This song was released in late 1995 to promote Anthology 1. Recorded as a demo by John Lennon in 1977, the remaining Beatles finished the song off by adding some lyrics and completing the arrangement. Famed producer, Jeff Lynn, co-produced the song.
This HD music video was produced by Vincent Joliet and directed by Joe Pytka and depicts, from the point of view of a bird in flight with many references to The Beatles songs, such as “Strawberry Fields Forever,” “Penny Lane”, “Paperback Writer”, “A Day in the Life”, “Eleanor Rigby” and “Helter Skelter”.
“Free as a Bird” won the 1997 Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and was The Beatles’ 34th Top 10 single in America.
