“Still of the Night” is the first song that most Americans remember from Whitesnake led by David Coverdale. This song is presented here from an HD source of a 2005 live concert in 720p.This was the lead single from their 1986 album, but was a long way away from being Whitesnakes first foray into heavy metal. This album was polished up really nice for American audiences and it paid huge dividends to both David Coverdale and the audience. A large fan base quickly grew with release of “Still of the Night” and subsequent singles such as “Here I go Again” which allowed the audience to discover Slide it In and other Whitesnake albums.
Some critiques railed Whitesnake for being a Led-Clone and it is well known that Robert Plant doesn’t think much of David Coverdale. However, later, David Coverdale and Jimmy Page recorded an album together.
