“Silent Lucidity” from Empire is the song that broke the Seattle heavy metal band Queensryche into the mainstream in America. Queensryche had been making waves in the heavy metal scene for almost ten years by the time pop radio and MTV finally decided to pay attention. Albums like Operation Mind Crime, had set them solidly in the progressive metal movement. Songs like “The Lady Wore Black” were fan favorites and inspired many teenage girls to put on a black miniskirt and paint their nails black. Empire marked the bands maturity and set them asail. You can still catch Queensryche touring throughout America with new materiel ever so often.

@Blackdog
I think it was really a Queensryche’s best album. May be not commercially but for me it’s my best album from Queensryche
