Selling more than 50 million albums and winning two Grammys, this rock band from California has made themselves an important part of the rock n’ roll scene since they formed in 1996. Linkin Park has adapted nu metal and rap metal into a form that the radio and rock fans have picked up on and embrased.
In 2008, they announced their next album would be a concept album. In an interview with MTV in November 2008, Chester Bennington stated, “It sounds a little daunting to me, so, I think my confidence level will drop, but when it was presented to us by this friend of ours, we liked the idea. It was an inspiring idea, and it was something we could relate a lot of the things we like to write about to.”
