From MTV unplugged, Alice in Chains performs “Nutshell.” Acoustic and live.
Alice in Chains came out of the same Seattle music scene as Nirvana in the early 90′s but they weren’t much like Nirvana at all. Alice in Chains would draw a closer comparison to early Black Sabbath and sludge rockers from the 70′s. They were more of a classic heavy metal band than a grunge band and was one of the modern founders of stoner rock.
After the loss of Lane Staley, the bands singer, Alice in Chains went dormant. It does appear that they will make a resurgence in the near future with a new singer from Atlanta, GA.
