Everyone knows where to download legal MP3s and other forms of highly compressed music. Get those at Amazon, iTunes, Walmart, Zune and just about anywhere else on the Internet. What most people don’t know is that there are better options out there. Better options for higher fidelity music files, HD music, if you will. I will be talking about legal sources for lossless downloads and not bit torrents or other illegal ways. I will tell you about two place with this article: HD Giants and B&W Music Club. I personally use both services and can speak highly of both, yet they are two very different services. Of course, you can always buy CDs and rip your own lossless digital files. If you know other sources of lossless HD music, please leave a comment.
HD Giants
HD Giants began as Music Giants and was the first download service on the Internet to offer lossless music for download. Today, HD Giants offers both music and movies in HD. From HD Giants:
HDGIANTS, the leading distributor of high definition entertainment, delivers the highest quality content directly into the living room. Our customers demand an ultra-premium entertainment experience when it comes to their home entertainment systems, and as a team, we at HDGIANTS are dedicated to providing that high quality experience…
HD Giants say that they are the only download source for HD music that is licensed by the major record labels which includes Sony, Warner Brothers, EMI, Koch, Telarc, and many others. Their catalog features a robust selection of all of the major musical genres. Fans can search in depth for their favorite classic rock, jazz, classical, country and hip-hop artists in addition to numerous other genres. All the HD music available is at least bit for bit the same as a CD. They also offer a Super HD option for many of their most popular downloads which is higher quality than CD.
The price per song and per album is just a bit higher than what you would pay at other services, but the few cents extra is well worth it when you want to get the most out of your music.

B&W Music Club
B&W also known as Bowers & Wilkins is a world renowned speaker manufacturer. They are known for their audiophile quality speakers and as the best selling speaker manufacturer in the world. Their speakers are used in recording studios such as Abbey Road and movie studios such as Skywalker. Their desire for the best quality music for their speakers first led them to their own record label. Today, they have the B&W Music Club in association with Peter Gabriel and his Real World studio.
When you join the B&W Music Club you get a full album a month from a new artist. These albums will be delivered to you as a full lossless digital download. The music is high quality, produced and performed with a passion and as the artists see fit. As a member myself, I have never been disappointed and I have been introduced to musical styles and artists that I would never have been able to hear before. Most of all, these albums sound great on my B&W speakers.
The cost is less than your would pay for a CD, and you know that you are getting great music.
